A PATRIGDE (12 Days of Christmas - 1st Day)

In a pear tree's shade, the partridge waits,

A patient soul, enduring the Christmas fates.

While golden rings capture hearts so bright,

He bides his time, hidden from the festive light.

Through each joyful verse, he remains unseen,

Yet the partridge dreams of a grander scene.

The pear tree stands tired, its branches bear,

The weight of attention, yet the partridge's share.

Five golden rings sparkle, stealing the show,

But the partridge, overlooked, waits to glow.

In the symphony of gifts, a humble start,

Yet destined to reign, a song in every heart.

So, on this first day of Christmas cheer,

Let's celebrate the partridge, hold it dear.

For in waiting its turn, a lesson refined,

The first in line, yet last in our festive mind.
