WIRED FOR EXCELLENCE

Greetings….

I am named but tamed but for fame because I’m a frame.

A frame you leave almost always empty because instead of being the portrait portraying me, you settle for less after singing “we will never settle for less”. It’s a poor trait lying prostrate before mediocrity, I must say.

I am only one of the Father’s numerous attributes and of course, one of the advantages you’re entitled to as His sons.

But do you even know me?

Or better still, the real question….do you know the Father?

Because as far as I’m concerned, 2 Peter 1:3 made it clear that it is only through the knowledge of him who called you that you access all that you need for life and godliness…..and oh, don’t forget I’m no exception when it comes to those needs.

In Genesis where the genesis of the world is recorded, the genesis of the knowledge of me was accorded the maximum emphasis because the very order and organization of creation exhibited me.

Unlike the manner in which man fell, the manner in which manna fell and the rules that ruled out greed and disobedience scream my name.

I seem ubiquitous right? but guess what?

With mediocrity making me seem micro and soft, you can’t accept that you could excel better than Microsoft Excel. However, between you and I is a wired connection ECG knows nothing about. I am the constant you make a variable in the equation of your Christian lives thanks to laziness.

Ladies, you don’t need make up to show that I’m already part of your make up.

Gents, I am more tightly tied to you than your ties.

But mind you, my presence doesn’t mean the absence of hard work.

Gifted hands would tell you to make determination your friend even though I am gifted to your hands.

 

How can you describe Daniel without mentioning me? “He was found to have an excellent spirit”, the holy book would say.

For him, it wasn’t only about a good meal but a good deal.

He just couldn’t defile himself because he had a deal with his Maker to stand out for him, no wonder he was outstanding.

 

For too long, you have longed to belong to the ones called by my name when you already bear my name but for ignorance, you’re still a long way from me.

Friends, study to show yourselves approved so that you may see me in your academics.

Do everything as unto God and not men so that you may see me in your careers.

Be perfect therefore as your Father in heaven is perfect because you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own possession called to proclaim the excellencies of him who called you from darkness into his marvelous light.

 

So, my message is simple; My name is Excellence and you are wired for me.
